This is a traditional Croatian Advent cat. 

A bed of moss and branches from the forest are placed on a table. A white then comes from the mountains and sits on the moss. The cat sits here until Christmas morning without sleeping. 

As the cat is carefully removed it reveals a small bright blue egg.  This is day twelve.
