But the words I'm typing are actually travelling 25,000 miles up to a wee little satellite and 25,000 miles back down to the internet post office, so must n't complain.
It's a three day diving extravaganza!
Most people on the boat are about twelve years old, or thereabouts. One of them is even a doctor. Imagine that: a real life Doogie Howser.
We're diving rather a lot. Saw a shark and a fish today.
At night the reef is pretty much like a human city: very few inhabitants out on the streets except for the odd turtle sleeping rough bashing in to the coral and looking a little confused and ashamed.
There's an Australian on the boat that ends his sentences in "but", and drives a cray fishing boat near Papua New Guinea; A gaggle of giggly German girls; a smattering of shy German Boys; an English couple; and a weird Japanese lad who vomits quite a bit, but has great air control on dives.
These make make up the rest of the divers along with Mike and I of course.
My de facto dive "buddy" is a German lad who has seen 25+ eclipses and already has the next six semi-planned, including Uganda! He has an underwater camera, and a sense of direction of a loaf of white bread.
Sense of direction + German = being dragged by a speedboat hanging onto a rope in full scuba outfit back to the boat. My thumb really hurts!
6:30am start tomorrow for a pre-breakfast dive.
